How does Travelan® work?

Travelan® offers proactive protection against Travellers' Diarrhoea by neutralising harmful bacteria and toxins before they can cause illness.3 Here's how it works:

1. Protection

When you take Travelan® before a meal, the active anti-bacterial antibodies in the product remain in your gastrointestinal tract, ready to act.3

2. Neutralising Harmful Bacteria

If you consume food or drinks contaminated with ETEC bacteria (the primary cause of traveller’s diarrhoea), Travelan® binds to the bacteria and the toxins they produce. By doing so, it prevents the bacteria from attaching to the walls of your intestines. 3

3. Preventing Illness

Travelan® effectively neutralises the bacteria and clears them from your gut before they can multiply, stopping them from making you sick and disrupting your travel plans.3
